The Chorale Experience

Workshop

1 Week Mid-Late July; Muskingum University

The Cardinal Chorale Workshop is a week-long experience designed to allow highly motivated singers who have completed ninth grade through their first year of college to develop their bodies, minds, spirits, and voices.  Throughout the week, singers will participate in rehearsals, electives, and enjoy evening concerts.

A typical day at the workshop includes breakfast, sectional rehearsals, lunch, electives & seminars, part rehearsals, dinner, and an evening activity/concert.

Post Christmas Concert

1 Day, last week of December; Pickerington, OH

Members typically meet in the morning of a weekday after Christmas at Epiphany Luthern Church in Pickerington, OH to brush up on repertoire they learned during the workshop. The day is filled with fellowship, dinner, and our traditional post-Christmas concert that evening.

Reunion & Winter Pops Concert

Typically Presidents Day Weekend; Coshocton, OH

Members meet on a Saturday morning for a day of rehearsals and fellowship. Home-stays are provided within Coshocton county, and members reconvene Sunday morning to sing for worship, and then present an afternoon concert with the Coshocton Community Choir.

Tour

1 Week in June; Across the state of Ohio

Members reconvene in Coshocton for a day of rehearsal before embarking on a week-long tour to various Churches, Nursing Homes, and other venues across the state of Ohio.

What Singers Are Saying

This past week at the Cardinal Chorale Music Workshop has been wonderful.  I am so happy to have spent this time with old friends, to have met several new members of the choir family, and to be a part of it with them.  The music and friendships we make together are incredible and I can’t wait to be with everyone again!  I’m going to miss the time we spent together learning new songs in rehearsals, making new friends at meals, and even the treks up and down Muskingum University’s many hills!”
