The Cardinal Chorale had another thrilling of rehearsing, eating and fellowship yesterday. Our breakfast was a Chorale favorite: pancakes, sausage, fruit and TATER TOTS. After our morning fuel, we made the hike up Walter hill for our morning rehearsal.
Sarah Heading, who is a Chorale alumna and current staff member, led a beautiful set of warm-ups. After warm-ups we went right to sections to get some nitty gritty work done. After all that hard work, we were of course hungry again.
The dining staff served us hamburgers, mac and cheese, alfredo, chicken and so much more. We also sang Landon Happy Birthday… he turned 19 yesterday!
The Chorale then traversed back to Walter Hall for part rehearsals which were then followed by electives. members have the opportunity to attend electives such as adulting 101, Chorale survival guide (handbook), folk dancing and digital footprint.
After an hour of hard and rigorous rehearsing we went to our evening program. The program was performed by two chorale alumnae, Annie Huckaba and Emily Riggins. Their program was entitled “Songs We Love to Sing,” followed by a Q&A revolving around what it’s like to have a profession in the music industry.
The Chorale had such a long and busy day, nobody struggled to fall asleep last night!
Our premiere concert is only four days away… make sure you mark your calendar. 🙂
