The Longest Trip Yet: Through the Cornfields to the Lake.
Monday, June 18, 2018
This morning, the Chorale gathered back at All Shepherds before heading out. Later, we were greeted with many friendly faces as we sang for the residents of Friendship Village in Columbus. Afterward, we began the long drive to one of our favorite tour stops: Lakeside, Ohio! Three hours and a lot of naps later, we arrived at Lakeside ready to sing. After an amazing Mexican dinner, we performed for Lakeside United Methodist Church, enjoying every minute of the concert.
When asked how the Chorale has impacted her life and appreciation of music, Hallee, an alto, says, “It has opened me up to a lot of diverse music that has made singing so much more enjoyable. It has also impacted how I see the world. The love I have for people and the world because of this group has changed me forever.”
Ryan, a baritone, adds, “Every performance I love seeing the joy on people’s faces. Every time I see our audience smiling and showing appreciation for our music, I’m enveloped with happiness of my own. I absolutely love getting to spread the sound of music to people from all across the state and impact their lives in a positive way.”
The Cardinal Chorale strives to impact everyone involved– singers, staff, hosts, communities, and all who hear us!
