We enjoyed a surprise visit from composers John Carter and Mary Kay Beall, composers of a piece that Encore will be premiering at the concert on Sunday, “When Eden Comes Again.”

A cappella Mega Funk, which staff members Jen Spur and Chad Putka sing in, performed for our evening program. We appreciated their funky concert selections and the performance of two of our very own staff members.

We had another “indoor” campfire, but after a camp song and a game, Encore jumped into one very large drum circle! Facilitated by Luane Campbell, an elementary music teacher at Mt. Gilead, a variety of percussion instruments rang out. Several singers finished the evening by leading the drum circle, tying in all that they had learned in the evening about rhythm and dynamics!
