It’s time again for the annual Cardinal Chorale Summer Tour!

Friday, June 15, 2018

This morning, singers voyaged to Coshocton from all over the state to rehearse music for our upcoming performances. Since we hadn’t seen each other since February, it was great to reconnect and catch up. Over 20 volunteers contributed to providing us with lunch, dinner, and plenty of cookies. We rehearsed well enough throughout the 11 hours to make Ann Leppla cry during a few pieces at the end.

Kalyn, a soprano and recent graduate of Pleasant High School, who drove almost 2 hours to Coshocton, had these thoughts on her way:

“As I drove, I was excited to be back with everyone who I hadn’t seen since earlier in the year. I was unable to sing at the OMEA conference in February, so I was looking forward to harmonizing with the Chorale again. I was also hoping most of my old friends, as well as new friends, would be able to participate in the tour. Working with Mr. Snyder again was extremely exciting! The only concern I had was having enough time to further learn music I hadn’t sung in a while.”

The singers, staff, and supporters of the Cardinal Chorale are looking forward to sharing our music and message of love, hope, and peace throughout the Great State of Ohio!
