Another wonderful day at the Chorale Workshop! Time has absolutely flown by this year. I have loved hearing how our sound as an ensemble is beginning to form. I am so excited to watch our continued growth musically, and as people who lift up each other! 🙂
One of the best ways we grow closer to each other in the chorale is through our shared meal times. To sit down and eat with someone allows for you to know so much more about them. During our other scheduled sessions, we have little time to sit down and discuss about our lives and experiences. I was thankful for everyone I spoke to today at our meals. We are also so thankful for the Muskingum University cafeteria staff and all the dedication they put into our meals as well.
I was so excited to attend my elective today. I am proud to be part of the parody elective with Caroline, and within our hour of creative freedom we created the hit single “Walmart Karen.” To be specific, I was especially proud of my contribution with the lyric “Plantiff Karen.” It was nice to expand on my creativity in a different way.
After dinner tonight, we gathered in Caldwell Hall for the Cardinal Chorale Jamboree! It was a fun-filled, carnival-esque event with games and prizes. The chorale was particularly interested in a game where we were asked to “test our luck” and spent one ticket for a chance to win five tickets.
Needless to say— this game didn’t win me the jackpot. However, there were also other games like ring toss, hit the bottle, and a photoshoot. It was really enjoyable! We are so thankful for the staff and all their hard work they put into the Jamboree. I can’t wait for another day of music here at workshop!
