The Cardinal Chorale was reunited once again yesterday, June 6th, at Coshocton Presbyterian Church. Singers were able to see friends from all over the state and connect with them through the power of music. The Cardinal Chorale last convened at our annual Reunion Concert in February, so being able to rehearse together once again is always a blessing.
The day started off with full group rehearsal where the Chorale went over some of their pieces for their upcoming tour. Despite being away for so long, our music sounds better than ever. I think it shows our skill and true dedication to the music we create. 🙂
Yesterday we also welcomed a few new faces who are substitutes on the 2025 tour! These talented individuals are learning all 35 songs and jumping right into the magic that is the Chorale. This can obviously be pretty overwhelming, so we are so thankful for them and excited to share the joy of the Chorale with them! (We <3 you Jensen, Maddie & Ugo).
All of our meals yesterday were graciously provided by our own Erin Jobes, who always makes sure our singers are always taken care of. We were able to support a Chorale alum’s family by having Domino’s for lunch (shoutout to the Anderson’s!) and were able to make our own “KFC Famous Bowls” for dinner (best idea ever).
This rehearsal day is a crucial step on our tour journey…a long, yet rewarding day that helps shape our sound and friendships with one another. We are grateful for the jokes and the memories we made yesterday, and we hope to see you sometime this week!
